Some possibilities of analytical description of strong non-adiabatic gas compression
Bayer, Zdeněk
Paper deals with modelling of the gas state- and thermodynamic behaviour in cavitation bubbles. After recent presentation of model M3 based on the more realistic idea of the heat transfer in the course of bubble compression, introduces its advanced version M4. The comparison of the polytropic and M4 model of process shows the results for high volume compression ratios may differ in tenths of percent. In a like range lies the discrepancy caused by using more accurate state equation and temperature dependence of the heat capacity.
Two methods of measurement velocity and concentration in flow of a two gases mixture
Mazur, Oton ; Jonáš, Pavel ; Šarboch, Jaroslav ; Uruba, Václav
The small aerodynamic facility with variable density, concentration of the air-helium mixture and flow velocity is described. Then two methods of measurement velocity and concentration of a known two gases mixture flow are presented. The first one make use of twoheated sensors and the second one aply a single hot-wire probe.
Learning based control system of four-legged robot
Březina, Tomáš ; Houška, P. ; Singule, V.
Possible discretization technique of the continuous state space of four-legged robot using simultaneous compositions of behaviors is described in the contribution. Compositions are generated by the instances of two basic controllers. The aim is to automatically develop the gait policy. Possible composition strategies are implemented through undeterministic state machine. In the machine design stage the number of both states and transitions could be essetially reduced.
Instability onset of rectangular prismatic beams in the wind flow
Pospíšil, Stanislav ; Fischer, Cyril ; Náprstek, Jiří
This paper describes a part of theoretical and experimental researchdealing with the problem of the aeroelastic instability onset ofslender rectangular beams in the air stream, modeled as twodegrees-of-freedom.
Interaction of a PVC-bearing with a bridge structure
Náprstek, Jiří ; Pirner, Miroš ; Fischer, Cyril
Long-term observation of bridges supported by bearings made of syntheticmaterials reveals a steady horizontal deformation increase of theseelements. This process can be very dangerous for the bridge as a whole.
An attempt of reducing vibrations of a slender steel belfry
Fischer, Ondřej ; Pirner, Miroš
A steel belfry with one bell of mass 176 kg ringing 70 strikes/mincould not be put into regular operation due to extensive, wellobservable torsional vibrations.
Synovial fluid filtration by articular cartilage under cyclical loading
Hlaváček, Miroslav
Lubrication of the human ankle joint in walking is analysed. For the normal joint, within each step, the synovial fluid filmshortly turns into a thin protecting gel layer. With thearthritic joint, this protecting gel film is depleted afterseveral steps and the surfaces get into the contact.
Constitutive modeling, heterogeneity, thermodynamics andmesomechanics of solids
Kafka, Vratislav
The proposed mesomechanical approach is shown to lead to resultsthat closely describe the observed behavior of inelastic deformationof many complex heterogeneous materials. It is simple and general, and the material parameters can relatively easily be determined.
Intensive vibration of a beam under rapidly moving system of forces
Frýba, Ladislav ; Fischer, Cyril
A beam subjected to a moving system of forces was solved bythe integral transformation method and the results areprovided in a compact form. The paper shows the effectof some parameters on the dynamic increments of deflectionsand the stress spectra.
Decrease of heat transfer and pressure drop in the flow of drag reducing surfactant in helical tube
Mík, Václav ; Myška, Jiří ; Kořenář, Josef
The flow in a helical tube was studied experimentally and change of heat transfer and pressure drop caused by addition of 3 different amount of a surfactant was shown. The measurements were done at a constant heat flux at the wall q = 50 and 75 kW/m2; the Reynolds numbers were between 10600 and 71000 and temperatures from 15 to 55°C. The decrease of heat transfer along the coiled tube caused by presence of the surfactant and effect of drag reduction in heat transfer were confirmed.
